Guidelines

Ardent! is a perfect bound 5.5" x 8" journal of poetry. Between its laminate covers, PITA has been proud to introduce both published and unpublished poets of exceptional promise. Each publication includes several poems by our featured poet by the editor's invitation.

Among the luminaries whose verse has helped make it a must-have publication for any library are Naomi Shihab Nye, Larry D. Thomas, Karla K. Morton, Janet Buck and others from around the globe.

Trust I love you Like the glorious moment of reunion After days of separation.   I believe in the security of your love as the crawling river believes in the ocean as the thirsty plantation trusts in the flourishing arrival of the pouring rain.   Your voice is the comfort of a soothing assurance between the conflict of existence and the resolution of acceptance.   I see in you the faith of a growing tree in a forgotten desert. I sing with you the melodies of your loving soul.   Let me rest comfortably, everlasting in the arms of your kindness.   Let me call your name As I listen to the echo of your trust.
