Vermont Studio Center Fellowship Residencies

Poetry, Fiction, and Nonfiction Residencies: 12 Writers are accepted each month. Two visiting writers (both of whom work in the same genre) are in Residence each month for one week apiece and give a reading of their own work, a literary craft talk, and offer optional individual writing conferences to Residents who applied and were accepted in the Visitors' specific genre. These Residents will be invited to submit conference material to the visitors in advance. Cross-genre conferences will be scheduled at the discretion of each Visitor once he or she arrives.

Fill out the application form and include the following:
$25 Application Fee*
Portfolio or Manuscript
Current Resume
Confirmation of Current Financial Status:
i.e., copy of first page of most recent income tax return, or proof of need.
References:
names, addresses and telephone numbers of three people who know your work.
Optional Self-Addressed Postcard:
Returned to you as confirmation of receipt of your application.
 
*For some Restricted Fellowship Awards, the application fee may be waived.

Visual Artists:
Include 20 slides labeled (with name, date, media, size) in a slide sleeve. The first 4 slides are projected for the fellowship jury. Include a separate slide list. Slides will only be returned if you include sufficient postage, international postal coupons, or SASE.

Writers:
2 copies of your manuscript: For poets, up to 10 pages, all other genres, 10-15 pages. Include a cover sheet with your name, address, and the title of the manuscript. Your name should not appear on the manuscript itself. Manuscripts will not be returned.
